Discharged

Time for our next trip to the Smart Clinic in Cardiff.

Molly has now got used to going there so went in confidently and even into the treadmill with no problem at all. She worked nicely on the treadmill walking well with the minimum of messing about - although she did an impressive demonstration of walking on her back legs as usual.  She then went outside so the vet could see her walking, before coming back for a full examination.  The verdict was very slight soreness around the shoulders and lower back so something to bear in mind after a lot of exercise.  Her kneecaps are still slipping unfortunately, but she is fit, well muscled and moves well.  In addition to this she is also very happy and very much enjoys her runs with the collie gang.

The vets were happy to discharge her for now with me just going back at some point in the future if I am concerned.

We will keep going with exercises now and then to maintain her flexibility and hopefully continue to keep her fit and well muscled.

I do also appear to have created a coffee monster somewhere along my trips.  I once made the mistake of giving her some of the frothy milk from my latte.  This was a huge mistake as it is now practically impossible to drink a latte in the car without her trying to get her head between mine and the cup - this time she managed to climb onto the dashboard and switched the hazard lights on - oh dear - my very own coffee monster!
